제 6조(회원의 구성) 회원의 구성은 개인회원,단체회원,특별회원으로 한다.
1. 개인회원 : 한민족 또는 대한민국 국적 보유자와 그 후손 중 대한민국 또는 다른 나라의 변호사, 판사, 검사 및 법학교수의 자격을 가진 자로서 본회의 목적에 찬동하여 소정의 입회절차를 마친 자
2. 단체회원 : 개인회원의 자격을 가진 자가 재직하고 있는 법무법인, 법무조합, 합동법률사무소 (각 나라의 법제하에서 이에 해당하는 것을 포함한다.), 교육기관, 연구단체 기타의 단체로서 본회의 목적에 찬동하여 소정의 입회절차를 마친 단체
3. 특별회원 : 제1호 및 제2호 외에 본회의 목적에 찬동하여 입회신청을 하고 본회의 이사회의 승인을 받은 개인 또는 단체
4. 명예회원 : 이사회의 추천에 따라 회장의 위촉을 받은 자

Membership qualification is based on the Articles of Association of the IAKL, Article 6 as below.
ARTICLE 6. (MEMBERSHIP) There will be individual member, group member, special member and honorary member in the IAKL.
1. Individual Member : Any attorney, judge, prosecutor or law professor of the Republic of Korea (R.O.K) or other countries, who is the R.O.K. citizen or is from Korean race, and who agrees with the purposes and objectives of the IAKL and undergoes necessary member joining process.
2. Group Member : Law firms, law partnerships, joint law offices (including those which conforms to these under the laws of each countries), educational institutions, research organizations, and other groups to which any individual member belong, and which agree with the purposes and objectives of the IAKL and undergo necessary member joining process.
3. Special Member : Any individual or group, who does not fall under the above section 1 and section 2, but agrees with the purposes and objectives of the IAKL and undergoes necessary member joining process, and receives approval from the board of directors of the IAKL.
4. Honorary Member : One who is nominated by the president of the IAKL on the recommendation of the board of directors of the IAKL.
